Best Credit Cards For Rewards and Cashback

Are you one of the fortunate or financially prudent few who manage to pay off your creditcard every month?

It might supprise you that it be extremely difficult to find the best credit card for you.  Most adverts you see nowadays harp on about 0% offers or low standard rates which is irrelevant for you as you never get charged interest anyway.

Your best credit card may be the reward / cashback based credit cards.  As the name suggests these cards give credit card users a reward which might be in the form of cashback or some sort of loyalty points program.

Reward cards, be they cash back or points based, work relatively alike.  Each pound you spend on the credit card (excluding balance transfers) will reward you with a certain percentage of your spend as points or cashback.

Apart from straightforward cashback schemes, the reward schemes are very hard to judge as they differ a great deal in terms of points earned and redeeming possibilities which range from air miles to shopping vouchers to petrol points.

Note that these cards usually are promoted for their rewards and if you carry a negative balance they can be quite costly. Thus, if you aren’t sure that you are going to stay positive these cards may not be for you. You may want to look at our 0% Credit Cards comparisons.
